EvansNews.com is a new local digital publication for the Town of Evans and the communities of Angola, Derby and Lake Erie Beach. The site is live today; our first issue remains planned for October 1.

EvansNews.com is the publication of record. Its front page is a deliberately short selection of stories. The full reporting, source notes and ways to participate live on the desks: Town Hall, Real Estate, Community and business, Food, Schools and sports, Events and culture, and Weather.

One local focus, every day

Volume 1 runs through December 31, 2026. Our planned recurring editions are Main Street Monday, Town Hall Tuesday, The Wednesday Wave, Taste of Thursday, Friday Night Lights, Saturday Spotlight and Sunday Briefing. Breaking news need not wait for a franchise day. January 1, 2027 begins Volume 2.

Help build the record

Readers can send news tips, community events, sports results, business-opening details and corrections. Please omit private account numbers and identifying information about minors unless needed and permissioned. Current links open an email draft; the site does not host a submission form.

We are recruiting the initial Volume 1 team. Our Facebook page ↗ is linked for readers; expanded Facebook distribution and YouTube formats are planned. Source pages on EvansNews.com will remain the reference for future posts and videos.

How we will work

We distinguish official records, attributed statements and Evans News reporting. Corrections will be dated, opinion and analysis labeled, and advertising or sponsored content separated from editorial work. Conflicts involving an owner, publisher, affiliate or contributor require disclosure and independent editorial review. Formal public policies and a secure applicant intake are still being developed; no claim that those systems are complete is made here.
